Police and other emergency services attended the scene of a two-car crash which occurred this evening at 7.35pm on SH58 Judgeford, near Pauatahanui.
No diversion was in place as the road closed in both directions. A rescue helicoper attended the scene, and later the road reopened.
A man has received serious injuries in the crash and was airlifted to hospital.
