A large fire broke out at the ACMA Factory in Montgomery Cresent, Upper Hutt this evening.
Firefighters are currently at the scene and the fire is under control.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown. Nobody is known to be injured by the fire.
Many homes nearby have been evacuated due to the sheer size and strength of the fire, which can be seen from all sides of the Hutt.

Witnesses nearby say the flames reached 10 metres high at their peak.
