Winds have blown several trees over, damaging windows and cars. Snow has been falling on the Rimutaka Hill Road (at the top) and hail throughout the Wellington region.

The left lanes of SH1 Southbound at Ngauranga gorge are still closed due to yesterdays landslip. Access through is still available.

Drive with caution today as surface flooding is also appearing in some areas – strong winds have potential to sway light vehicles.
