Wellington’s former mayor Kerry Prendergast sat down with us to share how she has been involved in the community since her mayorship.
Heavily involved with the arts, Kerry chairs for organisations such as the Royal New Zealand Ballet, the NZ Film Commission and the Wellington Opera.
“You got to believe in yourself, and never accept no as an answer.”
Kerry talks about how Wellington has seemingly stalled since the days of winning the title of ‘Coolest Little Capital in the World’, hoping for the future that;
“Whoever gets to lead our city, or to continue to lead our city, has passion and a belief in our future.”
Kerry’s love and passion for Wellington is unmatched, and her faith in restoring the city to its former, thriving self is motivational for all.
